DAL TORO AT LAMBORGHINI

3325 Las Vegas Strip, Palazzo Hotel and Casino, (702) 437-9800, 8 am to 10 pm every day
We came here after seeing their sign posted at the entry $9.99 breakfast.  We decided to try it and we were glad we did.  It was a normal size breakfast with just enough food to make us ready for the day without overdoing it.

Located in the Palazzo hotel and casino, it fronts right on the strip with a lovely view and location.

We both selected the basic breakfast, my wife chose eggs easy over.
I chose scrambled.

The dollar pancakes were delicious and the meal was just the right size! We came back a couple of times here - it was very good for the price.  We will come back again when in Vegas!

JUNIOR'S

1515 Broadway, New York New York (212) 302-2000, 6:30 to midnight every day.
Located at 1515 Broadway in Manhattan, Juniors is a great spot for breakfast and any quick meal.  We came here every morning for breakfast on our NYC visit because it had very quick service and good food - especially the breakfast and the cheesecake.

There is a patio space and a large indoor space to choose from.

We had breakfast that included bacon, eggs, toast and tomatoes. I chose scrambled eggs.

My wife had her eggs easy over.
We finished our breakfast with a good strong coffee and a couple of complimentary house made cookies.

It was a convenient location next to our hotel and we also tried it's next door location that specializes in their famous cheese cakes and other delights.
Junior's is well worth a visit if you are near times square.

MON AMI GABI

Paris Las Vegas, 3655 Las Vegas Boulevard, (702) 944-4224 Mon - Thurs and Sun 7:00 -11:00, Sat 7:00 - 12:00
Went to Mon Ami Gabi a couple of times during our stay in Vegas - not just for the ambiance (pure Paris) but also their excellent breakfast.
It is a beautiful space inside - but even more alluring on the great patio on the strip.

We began with a nice cold Mimosa.
We both ordered the same breakfast, bacon and scrambled eggs.
The bacon pieces were large and on the thick side with a sweetness like brown sugar, they were delicious.  The three scrambled eggs were buttery and had a hint of thyme and were heavenly.  The bread was crisp and light yet thick.  The hashed potatoes were crispy and were a great complement.
Definitely worth a visit if you come to Vegas!

JET CAFE

184 King Street East, Hamilton, On.  (905) 297-8113. Open for Breakfast and Lunch

Located on the main thoroughfare through downtown Hamilton, beside a parking lot is the Jet Cafe. It is situated in a rather grimy stretch of store fronts, but they are improving as the area is changing slowly.

It isn't very impressive inside and certainly could use updating (especially the washrooms) but it has a varied clientele from hipsters to suits.  Local art covers the walls and is reasonably priced.  It has a large selection of fair trade organic coffees including Kicking Horse Kick Ass blend coffee and a selection of Seattles Best.  There is also an outdoor patio on the side of the building and a parking lot beside it.

The menu selection is surprisingly extensive, ranging from a wide variety of all day breakfasts, including vegan selections, to a selection of sandwiches, stir fry, and pitas. The menu is found on chalkboards and large handwritten posters near the cash, where selections are made and paid for when ordering.

I was here with my son and we are both fans of pulled pork sandwiches, so we decided to try it.  It was delicious: the pork was just the right amount, it was tender and had a nice barbecue sauce on it that was not overwhelming.  There was a nice coleslaw in the sandwich and the bun melted in your mouth.
It came with a bowl of homemade baked beans and onions and a generous portion of fries.  The beans were a nice touch, but the fries were rather ordinary.  The price was very reasonable and the meal was quite delicious.  The staff were efficient and friendly.  We will definitely be back to try their breakfasts, which are their specialty.

SAIGON  PARIS BISTRO

12995 South Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers Florida, (239) 936-2233

Decided to go out to breakfast before leaving Florida.  So we went to the Saigon Paris Bistro, next to the Seven Lakes Fort Myers community that we were staying in.
We arrived hungry and ready for a hearty breakfast.

One of us ordered the peach filled crepes.  They were filled with a pasty peach goop that looked a bit like baby food - instead of canned peaches or fresh peaches.  At least there were some fresh fruits on the side.

One of us ordered the cream cheese crepes filled with raspberry and cream cheese.

Two of us had the French Combo, which included two sausages or two bacon strips, eggs, french toast and a side  of fresh fruit.  It was a typical big breakfast, however the french toast was very light and quite good.  One of us had the eggs scrambled and one of us had the easy over eggs.

It was a typical breakfast selection that was made more palatable in that the price was two for one.  The service was very good and the server Patricia was well known in the area.

WEST TOWN BAR GRILL 3 out of 5

214 Locke Street South, Hamilton On., (905) 570-1412 ,  open 7:30 am to 2:00 am 364 days a year

It must be the fall season or thanksgiving that makes us want comfort food.  We decided to go out for a good hearty breakfast so we went to West Town Bar and Grill on Locke street in Hamilton.  We've been here before, but never for breakfast.  It was Thanksgiving Monday and the place was very busy, considering it was almost two o'clock in the afternoon (I guess most of the patrons had their Thanksgiving on Sunday instead of Monday, as we did).  Since breakfast was being served late today we were able to order.

We both ordered the same meal, scrambled eggs, bacon, homefries, and twelve grain bread toasted. The waitresses here are always very efficient and friendly. The meal appeared within minutes and was hearty and cooked perfectly.  The bacon was evenly crisp, the scrambled eggs were evenly cooked and the homefries were not overcooked. All in all it is an efficient bar and restaurant with decent food, the only criticism, it needs a thorough cleaning and some updating inside.

wonderful bacon, eggs, homefries, 12 grain toast
